With continuous technological advancement, composite manhole covers have developed rapidly as a commonly‑used material for municipal and construction projects.

Before installation, the foundation for the manhole cover shall be neat and solid. The inner diameter, length and width shall be determined according to the dimensions of the manhole cover.

When installing composite manhole covers on cement pavement, the masonry of the well opening shall be poured with concrete. A concrete protective ring shall be built on the periphery for curing for about 10 days.

For installation on asphalt pavement, avoid direct rolling of the manhole cover and frame by construction machinery to prevent damage.

To preserve the appearance and keep the characters and patterns of the cover clear, avoid staining the manhole cover during asphalt or concrete pouring on the road surface.
To ensure normal service of composite manhole covers, installation quality must be guaranteed. Accurate dimensions are required, together with considerations for easy opening, cleanliness and aesthetic appearance.
